Noteringar
I källan står:
Ragnor Lodbrok of Uppsala, Sweden. Danish King at Lethra, was a very famous legendary viking. Some of the old sagas state that it was his sons who were the very men to attack Lindisfarne in England in 793, destroying monks and manuscripts without remorse This is often marked as the beginning of the viking raids of Europe. Ragnar was married to the beautiful Tora. When she died, he vowed to never marry again. He soon forgot his vow and fell in love with a lowly, but beautiful Norwegian goatherd named Kraka (also called Åslog). King Eystein of Sweden asked him to marry his daughter Ingeborg. At first conceding but later returning to Kraka, he offended Eystein who killed two of Ragnar's sons in ensuing battles. In revenge, Kraka sent her own sons to ravage Sweden. After all the viking raids around Europe, Ragnar finally met his end when King Ethelred of England took him prisoner and cast him into a snakepit. After his death, his kingdom was divided amongst four of his sons: Ivar, Bjorn, Hvitserk and Sigurd Orm-i-Oga.
